Meet the Team

  • Dr Shahid Amin
    Dr. Shahid Amin
    Veterinarian, Owner.

With more than 21 years of experience, Dr. Amin brings both expertise and compassion to his work. His journey into veterinary medicine began with a PhD in Animal Sciences and Research, but he quickly realized his heart was in hands-on patient care. That discovery led him to pursue veterinary medicine, where he now specializes in small animal care. For Dr. Amin, the most rewarding part of the job is watching pets recover and knowing they’re no longer in pain. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys reading, spending time with his family, and caring for his own pets at home — two cats, a fish, and two birds.

  • Meet Eiley!
    Eiley! ‎
    Practice Manager, Veterinary Technician

Eiley has been part of the veterinary field for five years and has loved animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up around pets, she always knew this was the career path for her. Her favorite part of the job is being a voice for animals and helping clients better understand their pets’ needs. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find Eiley out on the water boating, camping under the stars, painting, enjoying concerts, or simply soaking up life’s fun adventures. At home, she shares her life with two playful pups: Irish, a 7-year-old mixed breed who loves zoomies, and Bonnie, a 4-year-old cattle dog mix with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Despite her wobble, Bonnie is full of energy and joy, especially when she’s outdoors.

  • Marryam!
    Marryam! ‎‎
    Veterinary Technician

Marryam is new to the veterinary field, but her love for animals runs deep. Inspired by her uncle’s work as a veterinarian, she always knew she wanted to follow a similar path. Now, one year into her career, she especially enjoys working with small animals and cherishes every moment spent with sweet dogs at the clinic. When she’s not at work, Marryam enjoys diving into novels and watching Harry Potter — usually on repeat! While she doesn’t have pets of her own right now, her dedication to caring for animals shines through every day in her work.

  • Meet Brooklyn!
    Brooklyn! ‎
    Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician

Brooklyn is both a student and a dedicated member of the veterinary team. She’s currently studying Veterinary Pre-Medicine at Rockford University and has a special passion for surgery. Inspired by her own pets who battled cancer, she hopes to one day become a veterinarian and specialize in advanced surgeries for cancer and mass removals. Her favorite part of the job right now is monitoring patients during surgery and learning about the many surgical techniques available to help animals heal. When she’s not working or studying, Brooklyn stays busy with her many passions — from running agility with her husky, to playing piano, to dancing and enjoying music. At home, she has a lively crew of pets: four dogs (one Labrador Retriever and three Huskies), two cats, and two birds — a Blue and Gold Macaw and a Blue Front Amazon

  • Meet Elena!
    Elena! ‎
    Veterinary Technician

With over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine, Elena brings both skill and compassion to every patient she cares for. She has a special interest in dental work, small animal care, and client education. What inspires her most is creating genuine emotional connections with her patients and supporting them in their time of need. Outside of the clinic, Elena enjoys relaxing with her family, spending quality time with her dog, and practicing fire-eating and spinning when she has the chance! At home, she shares her life with Daisy, a playful 2-year-old Dachshund who is always ready to soak up attention.

  • Meet Danyelle!
    Danyelle! ‎
    Veterinary Technician Intern

Danyelle is currently studying in the Veterinary Technician Program at Rockford University while gaining hands-on experience at the clinic. Though new to the field, she’s already passionate about small animal care and loves the opportunity to help pets feel better when they’re unwell. She also enjoys connecting with their owners and being part of each patient’s healing journey. Outside of work, you’ll usually find Danyelle curled up with a good book or crocheting something creative. At home, she shares her life with three cats, one dog, and a bearded dragon — making her house a fun mix of furry and scaly friends!
